. kristen and eric? >> we start 6:00 with developing news from the abc7 at 11. right knew, oakland police are still surrounding a neighborhood after someone opened fire and wounded an undercover officer. amy joins us live with the search underway. amy? >> this is still in sign of the two men they are looking for. look behind me, the swat team is still engaged in this case with a section of seminary blocked off. you can see the swat vehicle located in the middle of the street. no one is being allowed in or out without a police escort. the officers approve who gets in or out. we were overhead when police say an officer was shot at 6:30. he was working undercover vetting another shooting when he was confronted by three armed men. police say he was shot in the arm. they were able to arrest one suspect. the other two suspects got away. police are still looking on them but they need help. >> we want to ask the community to continue to be vigilant. please contact the oakland police department nonemergency number reporting suspicious activists involving two individuals from the area. >> the chief

on the streets of oakland as police investigate four deadly shootings that all happened within a six hour span. the most recent killing happened at 8:15 tonight on the 900 block of hillside. they found a male suffering from a fatal gunshot wound he was pronounced dead on the scene. there are reports that as many as 30 shots were fired. the chp assisted police in the search for several suspects seen running from that area. >>> late this afternoon police responded to reports of shots fired in the 3400 block of west street in west oakland. it was about 4:15 when officers arrived on the scene. they say by then the victims were gone. he had somehow been transported to the hospital where he later died. about an hour earlier at 3:00 this afternoon a man was found dead of gunshot wounds near diamond park in the glen view district. police reported a man down. police are calling this a homicide but there is no further information. and yet another shooting happened around 2:30 this afternoon in the 2300 block of east 17th street. police said the victim was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. he was c

game! four homicides in one night. and, tonight. the oakland police department says it's agressively searching for the suspects responsible for yesterday's string of murders. and, as kron four's philippe djegal reports. police are saying today that there are several groups involved. the oakland police department says the shootings are a result of several feuding groups. at this point, investigators are not calling those groups gangs. police say the violence amounts to retaliatory attacks. and, that they are committing extra resources to track down the killers. the first shooting was reported around 2:30 p-m, when police found a man hit with multiple gunshot wounds near east 17th street and 23rd avenue. he was transported to the hospital but later died. then, at around three p-m. a man was found dead, also suffering from gunshots near canon ave and wellington st just after 4 p-m a shooting was reported at 34th near west st.. no victims were found, but later a man was admitted to a nearyby hospital where he died. and just after eight. police found a man dead suffering from gunshot woun
